"Cataract Surgery - Excellent Service"

I should like to put on record my sincere thanks to the consultant and their Ophthalmology team for the excellent service they provide. I had a cataract operation on Saturday 15th March and I was very impressed with the friendly and professional manner shown by all of the staff concerned. From my arrival to my departure I was treated with respect and made aware of what would be happening to me every step of the way. The nurses, doctors and technicians were friendly, displaying a calm manner which kept me relaxed and confident throughout the complete procedure. When I left hospital after the procedure I was confident I would be able to follow the clear and precise oral instructions that were given to me, backed up by written instructions. I have found this same professional and caring approach to be true on the several occasions I have attended the Ophthalmology Department as an out patient. The consultant and their team are always friendly and cheerful and they guide you through the various processes you may require, always mindful of your particular needs. I would be grateful if you would convey my sincere thanks to all of the staff who work in the Ophthalmology Department (including the receptionists) at Macclesfield District and General Hospital for their dedication and professionalism.
