"Broken wrist in A&E on Sunday"

About: King George Hospital

Great experience on Sunday 23rd march - very busy in A&E when we arrived at noon but assessed, x-rayed and pain relief provided within the first hour. Then seen to by a very efficient doctor who patiently explained the issue, treatment and possible outcome. Broken bone manipulated, plastered, re-x-ray'd, follow-up appt arranged and discharged within 4 hours - we were very pleased and impressed by the treatment received by all staff in the dept especially the nurse in resus and all of the doctors in a&e/minors/majors.

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience with us on NHS Choices. I’m thrilled to hear that we were able to treat and discharge you within four hours of visiting King George A&E. It will be my pleasure passing your comment onto the Emergency Department for you. Yours sincerely Flo Panel-Coates Director of Nursing
