"Without her support I really don't know where I would be now"

About: Inclusion Matters Wirral

(as the patient),

I was originally diagnosed with anxiety and depression by my doctor in July last year and he referred me for counselling at Inclusion Matters in Birkenhead. I started my therapy just before Christmas. As soon as I walked through the door I was put at ease by the friendly staff on reception. The initial couple of consultations were spent getting to know my therapist and discussing the background to my problems and anxieties. Again I was made to feel completely relaxed and at ease and was able to talk in depth about what was going on in my life.

After these first meetings my therapist suggested I was in fact suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to a motorcycle accident I had over 30 years ago ( I am now in my 50s). With the help of the therapist I was able to start a program of talking therapies to help me with this condition. After a difficult start I am now well on the road to re discovering my confidence and starting to look forward to the future again. I know I still have a way to go but I know with my therapists and my family's help I will get through it.

I wish I could explain how much help my therapist has been. Without her support I really don't know where I would be now. If anyone has been referred to Inclusion Matters and is having any doubts about going, please see it through because I can guarantee the effort will be completely worth it.
