"4 Months for an appointment for a catheter removal..."

About: Ashford Hospital

My father was given a catheter after a minor operation over 6 weeks ago. He has been back to the hospital once and thought he was having the catheter removed. he was told to go away and drink 2 litres of water and come back - because he did not manage to empty the whole 2 litres they kept the catheter in - he has now been given an appointment for a follow up and its removal in July! he suffers from anxiety and this is just causing him more stress - he is a fit man apart from this. I know a nurse who deals with this sort of thing at Ashtead Hospital daily and she also agrees that it is totally ludicrous that they have left the catheter in fro so long and that the appointment is so far away. I have tried calling to speak to someone to try and bring the appointment further but seem to be put through to answerphones - this is most distressing! I am furious of the affect that is having on my father!
