I was referred to the maxillo-facial dept of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital because of neuralgia. I was seen promptly and expertly on the day of my appointment, and the doctor actually found the cause - a pocket of infection beneath a tooth, clearly visible on the xray he sent me for.
After the xray he saw me again, very promptly, and said I should either have the tooth removed or root-filled, and that he would send the xray to my dentist. All this was excellent.
However, a fortnight later, and neither my doctor nor my dentist have received any report or xray - and without it my dentist is reluctant to proceed. I don't understand why in this day and age it should take so long for a report to be sent.
"Me and my neuralgia."
