Very happy with how everything went for the birth of my son, everything went according to plan during the birth. All the staff members in the Labour ward were very helpful, caring and were easy to talk to. The anesthetist who did my epidural was gentle and patient, even when I was having contractions at the time, I didn't feel the epidural even go in. My midwife who was helping me through my contractions was very calm and funny, definitely took my mind of them, she was definitely the most helpful member of staff I had during my labour. Also, we hope the students on that day learnt something and wish them the very best with their on going studies. I definitely didn't want to leave the labour ward, they were all lovely and helpful. The ward I went into afterwards, Burley Ward, the staff weren't so compliant or helpful, even when I said my son was my first child and I needed help on a few things, there was always a sigh in their voice like it was a chore to help, that was only with a few staff members, other staff members on the Burley ward were very helpful and gave me a few tips. Over all, myself and my husband are very happy with the birth of our son, who is nearly a month old and doing splendidly. Thank you Emily MacDonald
