"Excellent care at Orthopaedics"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

My husband broke his ankle on 13th December and had to have an operation to insert a plate and screws. The medical care he has received during that time to date ie 24th March when he has been discharged has been outstanding. The doctors who have attended him, have been first class. They have listended to our concerns and have explained everything in detail with empathy. The nursing staff have also been excellent. We were also impressed with the liaison between our own doctor, the district nurses and social services. We have received the utmost support from all concerned and appreciated the seemless progression from the time of release from hospital on Christmas eve to when the district nurses took over. Well done to all concerned.

It is our aim that patients receive integrated care from NHS staff and social services, in and out of hospital so it is great that you felt you and your husband had a good experience of this. Thank you for posting this.
