"Accident and Emergency"

About: Good Hope Hospital

Having been to a walk in clinic with my 16 year old daughter [ as no emergency appointments at the doctors] .I was told to take her straight to a and e as her right lung was not looking healthy.I was advised to take her to the children's . At the children's she was 3 weeks too old to be seen there and told me to bring her immediately to another a and e. At Good Hope she was sent around to majors immediately and although we had to stand and wait for 10 minutes [waiting room full ,very small] we were seen by 2 young doctors who were very good, reassuring and professional. We did not have to wait long to go to x ray where again the staff were very helpful .Back at majors we were again seen promptly. Overall although it was extremely busy at a and e ,the treatment my daughter received was excellent, the staff were lovely and the cleanliness was of a high standard.I would recommend this department .
