I had an operation in July 2013. I was given instructions for post operation samples; which were sent in and I then waited for a very long time for my results. Nothing appeared so I then started to chase my results.
This was difficult as I was then told my consultant had retired, strange as he looked approx 40, which was then contradicted by the secretary I spoke with. When I eventually got through to the correct department, I was told I was under a new doctor, who was taking on my previous doctor's patients.
The helpful secretary informed me of my results, but I was required to submit further samples.
I've now been told from my penultimate sample, my new doctor has now left. So who is my consultant now? I do not know.
Obtaining the results of these samples proves unbelievably difficult, as I only have a connection number for the secretary, who does not appear to answer the messages left, 4 so far.
I have tried my own doctor, but the results go to the consultant and I have to persist with this way of obtaining results, which frankly speaking just is not up to scratch.
Thankfully the operation has been without issues. I worry for anyone that has a problem!
