"Sinus Surgery Success"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

After very many years of suffering severe painful and debilitating sinus infections I was finally referred by my GP to my consultant From the outset, his attention to my problem was reassuring and clear. The extent of my problem was identified and explained to me and proposals/recommendations for action were discussed. Initially I was admitted as a day case to Fulwood Hall (as an NHS case) for surgery to clear the blockages. Regular follow-up monitoring was provided. Although results provided a considerable improvement, the problem still persisted. At a subsequent consultation, I was offered the option of further treatment in the form of "Sinoplasty" [I think] surgery which was likened to the insertion of a balloon into the cavity rather like angioplasty in heart/artery surgery. Again, this was done as a day case with very quick and painless recovery. It appears to have been very successful and after the usual follow-ups I have now been discharged from his care. Throughout the process I have been treated very well by the consultant and his team and am an extremely satisfied customer. I have no hesitation in recommending the Trust, .Consultant and whole team. Thank you.
