"Excellent care"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Medicine

(as the patient),

Went for Endoscopy in March at Crosshouse Hospital, I was petrified and so very nervous as been suffering from severe anxiety for some time.

The staff in the unit were brilliant. They were so kind and reassuring I couldn't have asked for better care. The Nurse Endoscopist was lovely to me and I was given good sedation and don't remember anything!

All in all excellent care.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Darcy,

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this. I am really pleased your visit was a good one as it can be quite scary especially for those who have not had an endoscopy before.

I will make sure the team know how pleased you are with the care you received. I know all the staff in the Endoscopy Unit try very hard to make everyone’s visit a good one and it is very nice when we hear of such a positive experience.

Kind regards

Eunice
