"no respect to patients at all"

About: Newham General Hospital

I called to rebook my appointment as I could not attend the gynaecologists on the given time. I also said that I would like to be seen by a female gynaecologist doctor . The booking clerk was absolutely irrespective of my choice. She started to mock me that I am "very specific" and on the date of 4 February 2014 only rebooked me in 2 months for 1 April 2014. She also failed to send me a confirmation letter about my rebooked appointment (apparently, to show her personal attitude) so I had to call the hospital again and remind her to post me my booking confirmation. After 6 weeks as the date of my appointment was approaching and I made all necessary arrangements at work, I received a letter from the booking clerk that she cancelled my appointment which I supposed to attend on the 1 April and that now I will see a doctor even later, only on 28 April which is another month later. No reason was explained!!!!!! All this makes me feel that that booking clerk is opinionated and clearly breaks the NHS code of conduct about the patients freedom of choice and respect. I regret that I choose Newham hospital among four other hospitals which were listed on my GP referral.
