"My wife's experience at ESH"

(as a carer),

My wife was suffering from advanced lung cancer and was admitted to ESH as an overnight emergency suffering from the symptoms of the late stages of the disease.

From the response of the ambulance team, the treatment by nurses and doctors in the emergency admissions unit and the almost three weeks she spent in Godstone she was treated with care and compassion and enabled to live some of her final days in dignity -

She subsequently died in St Catherine's Hospice. In particular the care of the nurses and other staff and the attention and honesty of the doctor treating her were exceptional.

Only the NHS can do for people what ESH did for my wife. I will be always grateful. Thank you.
