"Appointments time delay"

About: Horsham Hospital

Not for the first time have I attended the Hospital for both x-ray and blood test. X-ray is always available within a short waiting time but today my blood test appointment earliest date was in eleven days time. My next Doctor appointment (for results) is in nine days time. I drove to Crawley Hospital, had the blood test within two minutes of arrival because of the non appointment, ticket queue system. Is it not time the Horsham Hospital changed its' system for the benefit of patients rather than the convenience of staff?

Dear Mr Urquhart

I apologise for the problems you had getting a blood test at Horsham Hospital. The service has been particularly busy of late and we have had problems with both the phone lines and with regard to staffing. However, these problems are being resolved and the service should now work more effectively. It is available Monday to Friday 8am-12noon and then 2-5pm.

I'm pleased though that we provided a better response at our x-ray service. But again, please accept our apologies.
