What I liked
The nurses on reception and who carried out the eye tests have always been very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
What could be improved
The consultant who has now become the person I see regularly has very little people skills indeed he is extremely abrupt and dismissive. I have an inflammatory condition that I have had since March, which previously has cleared in 6 weeks, I am therefore concerned especially as I have a number of other symptoms which I consider are connected. His comments when I tried to discuss this was they are not connected go and see your doctor. I am not a machine therefore I consider that everything in my body works or does not as a ' whole ' I was hoping that the medical profession was becoming more enlightened however this has not been my experience of your hospitals.
Anything else?
I was treated for an eye problem from March until October in the accident and emergency eye department until I was moved to Lister, where I am still receiving treatment. I have been trying to find details of the consultants working within the Trust as I would like to be treated by someone with more specific knowledge of my condition. Unlike most other hospitals there appear to be no details available, the only link gives a message that the site has been blocked for safety reasons.
