"I now feel I have learnt new skills in how to manage and cope"

About: Inclusion Matters Liverpool

(as the patient),

I found the 1 on 1 sessions with Emma to be very beneficial. Emma was very friendly and made me feel at ease right from the start.

The way Emma listened in a non-judgemental manner and empathised with my situation as well as giving/sharing alternative ways to cope and manage my worries has helped me to be less anxious.

I thought the worry time was particularly helpful for how to problem solve, when I was feeling very overwhelmed with problems.

I now feel I have learnt new skills in how to manage and cope when issues arise. I hope I will draw on these and pass them on to others.

I am glad I went to CBT and these skills now instead of not being medicated with anti-depressants which would not have helped in the long term.

Thank you very much Emma and Inclusion Matters.

If I could change, I would like there to be places nearer home and more places all over Merseyside. I think everyone would benefit from this treatment therapy.

Dear Handy545,

Thank you for your very positive feedback about your experience with Inclusion Matters and Emma in particular. I am pleased that you found your 1-1 sessions helpful and have learnt new skills that you can use to cope with situations in the future. I am sure other people considering therapy will find your feedback encouraging and I will certainly pass on your feedback to Emma.

We do offer our service from a number of locations across Liverpool and I am sorry that we didn't have a service nearer to your home. This is something we will continue to review and improve.

Best wishes

Tracey
