"TRAQS advised a minimum 12-week wait "

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

As my referral was heart-related, I expected to have an early appointment. My initial contact with TRAQS advised a minimum 12-week wait before an appointment could be offered.

Fortunately an extra (Saturday) clinic enabled me to have a much earlier appointment.

Thank you for your feedback.

Whilst I acknowledge your concern regarding your condition TRAQS is aware that waiting times for initial appointments at local hospitals are currently running at between 8-12 weeks and this is not within our control. Its not clear from your comments that you were given a choice of hospitals which may have resulted in a need for some travel but at least your referral would not have been delayed unreasonably.

However, it it pleasing to note that you were fortunate in being offered an earlier appointment at the Saturday clinic and I hope you will soon benefit from this appointment.
