"Appointment was difficult to arrange"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I had requested a referral to Mr Roach who knew me.

The person who phoned ignored my request for confirmation that my appointment was with Mr Roach. When the letter arrived it was with Mr Crichlow!

4 days before my appointment, I was phoned to say that the appointment had been moved to the day after.

It had been difficult to arrange the first place as I am disabled and need my carer to take me, so it was inconvenient but the new appointment was with Mr Roach as I wanted.

I am disappointed to read that your recent experience with TRAQS was not entirely satisfactory and as such I would like the opportunity to investigate the circumstances relating to your referral. As all feedback is anonymous I am unable to identify your case, therefore, if you would like to contact me on 01952 580441 I would be happy to look into it further.

With regards to the change in the date of your appointment at the hospital this is not within TRAQS control and unfortunately if the consultant/specialist believes an alternative date or clinic is more appropriate for you they will change your appointment. However, I am pleased that the revised apppointment was with Mr Roach as you originlly requested.
