"Most of the staff were great but not two."

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

Most of the staff treated me well. There was one that was very rude to me and caused me stress, to the point that I had to discharge myself. I believe that this was because I am a British ethnic minority. I also so an older person treated badly, and the nurses were not cleaning the equipment after each person using it. I did talk to a senior nurse about this and the following day, the nurse was even more rude and so was the ward manager. Most of the staff were great, but when the ward manager promotes bad practice towards ethnic minorities and towards the older persons,I had discharged myself because the decisions they are making I could not trust anymore. Thank you for the great staff there and please sort out the practices of the bad staff. thank you.

This type of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable and we want to investigate this urgently. We would ask you to contact our Patient Experience team as soon as possible on 01539 795497 as there are not enough details in this comment to be able to look into this properly and respond directly to yourself
