I was brought to Darlington hospital on the early hours of Sunday morning with severe abdominal pains. The paramedics were very concerned and got me to hospital as quick as they could. Once I arrived I got asked if I had had a drink that evening my reply was yes I had two drinks about 6 hours before my pains started. As soon as I had declared I had 2 drinks all attitudes changed towards me one nurse even asked me to be quiet as I had started to cry with the pain.. I was alone and felt helpless as no one was listening to me. I had an X-ray given morphine and then sent home still in pain and non the wiser as to why I was in pain I got discharged with tramadol.. For the next two days I was in a great deal of discomfort but was defiantly not going back as I now feel totally let down by how I was treated! I am due for a tonsillectomy at Darlington next month and I'm considering not having it as I worry I won't recieve the care I will need.. I can understand in hospitals that they are understaffed and work long shifts but they way I was treated was appalling I hope something will change for the next 25 year old they see..
