"urine retention after operation"

About: Ipswich Hospital

discharged from hospital at 3.00pm same day as operation by 5.00pm i was unable to pass urine so my wife contacted registrar who informed my wife to go to Lavenham ward we arrived at 05.15 and was kept waiting until 6.30pm before anybody came to relieve my suffering they fitted a catheter to relieve me, the incompetence of the doctor/ nurse who performed this fitting failed to pull the foreskin back to where it was before. they kept me in overnight discharged me,i had to return to the ward again for the registrar to pull it back this was worse than the operatio. i have known pain before but not on a scale like this i have a lot dealings with nhs over the last 9 years with no trouble i always defended the nhs but my confidence has hit a all time low

Really sorry to hear of your very poor experience. Would you be able to contact us directly so that we can work together to improve services? Thank you very much for taking the time to comment.
