"Echocardiogram"

About: Fairfield General Hospital

Attended for an echocardiogram on the 2nd January and asked for a copy of the results to be sent to me. Having heard nothing back by the end of January a couple of phone calls to the department resulted in a receiving on the 15 February a copy of the results sent to my GP. This stated that I had 'severe mitral regurgitation'. On subsequently visiting my GP to discuss this I found that the results sent to him made no mention of severe regurgitation. How can one test lead to two different sets of results, and which is right?
