"Big thank you to Hallamshire staff"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Hepatology

(as the patient),

Only just found this site, I was in hospital on K1 in September 2005.

Having been diagnosed with Caroli Disease, I underwent a liver resection and arterial reconstruction. The nurses and doctors could not have made my stay any better, in fact, after only being in hospital to give birth, I had a pleasent time. Everyone gave me their time of day as I was unable to do anything for myself for being wired up to all sorts of tubes.

At first I thought I would be embarrased about not being able to bath myself but I was put at ease straight away. I would like to thank everyone for all their support as I am sure they know they are appreciated by the genuine majority of patients.

My only complaint, not that it is really a complaint, would be that when showing trainee nurses how to put steristrip stitches on a patient is to make sure the skin is dry first.
