"I feel I don't want to go back and see the consultant"

About: Victoria Integrated Care Centre / General Psychiatry

(as the patient),

I seen my consultant at the Jeanie Deans Centre at my local hospital due to me having severe anxiety & depression. I feel yet again I am just a number with this consultant every time I attend my appointment. The consultant just sits and clicks their pen. This has happened on several occasions.

I told the consultant that I am very depressed with things happening in my life and I am not sleeping. I was told just to deal with it. I also felt I got a telling off for going to my GP as my solicitor questioned why I haven't got a CPN.

My GP was very good and wrote to the consultant. I was told that if I wanted to ask why I hadn't got a CPN, I should come to the consultant not my GP. I left my appointment today distressed and on the way home took a small hypo.

I just feel I am not getting anywhere with this consultant who does not appear to be interested in what I say. I feel I don't want to go back and see this consultant as they have made me feel worse.
