I had to call 111 recently for advice for my young daughter with suspected viral meningitis. As a ward sister myself (not from your hospital) I was extremely impressed with the service. I was given an appointment to attend the out of hours GP service at Southend hospital in 2 hours. The GP we saw was exceptional in his approach and reassurance of my daughters condition. The waiting area was clean, well organised and efficient. Thank you to all staff involved who cared for my daughter who is now thankfully well. As an NHS employee I am well aware of the criticisms we face and therefore wanted to take my opportunity to say a well deserved 5 stars to you all. Many thanks again.

Many thanks for your feedback. I am pleased that your daughter was attended to so quickly. Sadly we do not run the out of hours GP service, though it is based on our premises.
