"Such a difference"

About: Tameside General Hospital

My Mum recently was an inpatient on Ward 40 - what a difference compared to earlier in the year - I was told that a ward manager new to the area had just joined the team - well it showed - little changes make a difference - well done I was made to feel as though my view mattered - I will be having a lot of contact no doubt with the hospital as my mum gets older and I feel more confidence now in the hospital

This is an especially welcome comment and thank you very much for taking the time and troubles to post it.

The hospital works hard to ensure an entire patient’s journey is the best possible care. We do like to know we are doing the right thing and thank you once again for your feedback.

John Goodenough

Director of Nursing

’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved? Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at
