"Impossible to be seen"

I was first forwarded by my optician to see my doctor, then forwarded by my doctor to eye casualty at LRI. I was give nan appointment that day, which was quick and seen to fairly quickly, not delayed that much. Upon my app I was given eye drops etc and advised to come the following week. What I was prescribed cost my all together £50 and did nothing but calm down some swelling, even after asking for something different over a period of 4 separate visits. During the last I was told I 'should be fine' even though still suffering with the infection - that I still have 5 months on. And even when I did have an appointment, I was still waiting hours after my time on the other occasions. Non-emergency walk-ins were being seen to before I was, even though I was there before them and even though I had an appointment booked. I didn't even see the doctor I was supposed to see. For a month now I've been trying to get an appointment at the casualty via my doctor on the University campus, rang up numerous times and either being completely denied or told I have to see the same doctor again even though it's the same situation, just to be referred forward to the hospital. One woman at the casualty told me I can easily get appointments by ringing the desk, and another said they don't do appointments whatsoever (even though at the time I was on my third timed appointment?). Obviously the staff are overwhelmingly busy on duty to pick up the phone, so calling in is useless (I've tried). So for my long-lasting eye infection, I'm losing my eye sight and my optician can't do anything for me, the local doctor can't do anything for me, and the hospital has so far cost me a total of £50 in useless eye drops, 5 months of denial of appointments, and plenty of "it should clear up by then"s. Half-sighted and not happy.
