I have just returned home from lung surgery followed by aftercare in the Critical Care Unit (CTCCU) and Ward F2. I have found the whole process from pre-op discussion, through admissions, the surgery and CTCCU and F2 Ward aftercare to be absolutely outstanding in all respects. The interest shown by all staff in me as a person, the high level of information and feedback back from the specialist staff, the dedicated and caring care on CTCCU when just beginning to recover form the surgery, the follow up care on Ward F2 when you begin to feel a little more normal, the cheerfulness of the catering and cleaning staff, the attention and care of the physio team. I hope I haven't missed anyone out but all these areas of care were outstanding. I would also like to thank the surgeon and anaesthetist for calling on me, in their own time, after the surgery to explain in some more detail their findings. True dedication. I cannot recommend the hospital and it's staff more highly.
"Outstanding treatment and care."
