I attended the "short stay surgery" ward Southmead, Feb 27th 2014 for removal of my gall bladder, everything about my stay which ended up with me being for kept in fo 1 night was exceptional, right from my admittance to my discharge, i was kept fully informed of what was happening during the time leading up to my operation, right through to my discharge. All staff were extremly friendly on the ward, in theatre & on the recovery ward & made me feel very relaxed & comfortable, particularly a 2nd yr student, her whole attitude towards patients was a breathe of fresh air I would like my comments passed onto the Modern Matron for L Ward, as the staff deserve to be recognised for the work they do,in a time when so many people are so very quick to criticise the NHS
