We are not babies, we are adults not children. This is a mental health hospital not a prison. Putting this night time confinement policy in place would put staff at risk as patients would resent it and it would damage their relationships with staff. I would not comply willingly! !

Thank you for your posting about night time confinement. I have spoken to managers at Wathwood and other Forensic services about the postings that patients have made highlighting their concerns.

They are happy to reply in more detail both on the Patient Opinion website and in patient forums where this was first raised and discussed.

Please be reassured that any plans to bring about changes at Wathwood would be evaluated fully with other similar services and patients would be consulted first to make sure that the opinions of patients are listened to and acted upon.

You can expect a further reply on the site with more information and an update.
