"Short stay"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

Arrived in A&E with abdominal pain on a very busy Saturday. Doctor was very thorough and attentive. CT scan showed gall bladder infection. Admitted to Emergency surgery ward which was very busy. Nursing staff very attentive, medication given on time and nurses happy to discuss medication. First time I had ever been admitted to hospital so difficult to adjust. Although saw several doctors they were thorough in explaining treatment and actions. Prior to discharge doctor had a long discussion about outcome, need for future surgery and went into considerable detail about what was involved.
