"Haemotology ward"

About: St Helier Hospital

I was referred by my GP and admitted to B1 Ward. I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia which was a big shock and very frightening. The staff on the ward could not have been nicer or more caring and made me feel positive about my condition. I was only on the ward for 2 days as I was then transferred to The Royal Marsden but I cannot praise the staff highly enough right down to the cleaners.

We know that coming to hospital can be daunting sometimes, especially with a diagnosis such as leukemia, so we're pleased to hear that all of our staff treated you well. It takes a large team (made up of a wide range of roles, including a sewing team) to keep our hospitals running well! We hope you're in good health now. Thank you for commenting.
