My father has been on ward 25 and since the 4th march he has been bed blocking. After speaking to the doctor yesterday he has been kept in as the doctors says that he needs 24 hour care. Reason for this that his dementia has got worse. Doctor that pointed to his head and said that he has 'gone in the head'. My father has full care package at home and when carers are not there my sister and my self look after him. We are now battling to get my father home where he belongs. We feel totally let down by the hospital and there so called systems. On previous admittions to hospital I had no complaints of his treatment and care. I could list many complaints about this recent one but I would run out of space. Just hope the hospital management have the guts to contact me regarding this. Which I doubt they will.
