I was told by my gp that I was obese and needed to lose weight. I realised that I was still carrying the weight that I had put on during my pregnancies and I was becoming more and more depressed with the way I looked. The gp referred me to positive moves and then I was contacted to ask if I would be interested in joining a weight management group. The group has been fantastic. The people leading the group have been helpful, non judgemental and a real encouragement. There have been useful tips which have made me feel confident to be able to continue to maintain a lower healthier weight. The group as a whole have been supportive of one another and really encouraging. I have found it useful to be weighed each week and be accountable. I have lost a stone in weight and 5 inches from my waist which is more than I imagined I would.
