"The nursing staff were great not ..."

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

(as the patient),

What I liked

The nursing staff were great not a fault with them at all. The care i recieved from them was 100%.

What could be improved

The amount of time it took for the surgeons to realise what was wrong with me and what caused it. The lack of communication between them and other staff.

Anything else?

The fact that i am still waiting for an operation to put my stomach back together as i have a large open hole there. I was told i would be put on the emergency waiting list for my operation - they said they would do this when i saw them on the 27th october this year. I rang today to ask where i was on it as my open wound has started to split down both sides and i was told that i have not been put on a waiting list and that i would not get on one until after christmas as there were cancer patients who need ops before me, which i can understand but i would class my urgency as important as i was sent home with an open wound the size of a dinner plate that is starting to split open again, and no one seems to care really.
