We recently attended the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit after my partner began to experience bleeding 6 weeks into her pregnancy. The end result being that my partner suffered a miscarriage. Despite the devastating effect this news had on both me and my partner, one thing stuck out about our time at the EPAU and that was the midwife who cared for my partner. Above and beyond the professionalism that I have grown accustom to from the nhs in general, this lady displayed an amazing level of compassion and care towards my partner that made a hugely traumatic experience that bit less harrowing. Thank you.
