"My father's recent stay in Layer Marney Ward"

About: Colchester General Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as a relative),

I would like to thank all the staff who worked tirelessly to make my father better in order that he could return home. He was very ill with pneumonia on arrival at the hospital, but the wonderful work of the doctors and nursing staff on the ward has meant he was able to go home and start to build up his strength and enjoy life again.

Also, whilst my father was a patient, the ward staff were so kind to us all and in particular to my mother, who is elderly with a sight impediment. They couldn't do enough to help and the kindness they showed us was beyond the call of duty.

We would like to thank all the staff and commend them for the wonderful caring work they are doing.
