"Horrible experience!"

About: Peterborough City Hospital

Went in for key hole surgery in the day treatment unit and the whole afternoon was a total disaster. I wasn't told all the information at my pre op so this caused problems for me. The consultants and nurses didn't have a clue what was going on and communication was terrible, nobody seemed to talk to each other. I was very nervous about it all and got even more nervous as I wasn't told hardly any information of when I was going down to surgery. When I was finally called down to surgery the nurses realised I hadn't been booked in properly and the nurses and consultants stood arguing in front of me about who was to blame. I then had to wait another 45 mins till I could go down for surgery. In the recovery room the consultant came to tell me the results after 5mins of waking up so I don't remember any of what he said. I was then told I had to eat and drink before I could go. I felt extremely sick but the nurses had no care about them and just kept telling me to eat and drink so I could go. Very scared to go back to this hospital now after my experience.
