I was rushed to St James hospital for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis. I had been vomiting for 2 weeks prior to going into hospital and had lost nearly 2 stone.
The care I received was very good and I was feeling better in a couple of days.
The nurses were understaffed - they were always very busy and didn't really seem to have enough time to look after all of the patients on the ward.
"Good care but understaffed at St James"
