"I cannot be in better hands "

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I attended the Urology/gynaecology outpatients at Crosshouse Hosp Ayrshire in early March 2014.

I had to undergo a procedure which was in my part embarrassing but the staff nurse who dealt with me was excellent. She put me at ease and explained everything she was going to do. Even though I am a retired nurse it was nice to have someone who cared.

I then had to speak to my consultant Mr Agur. He spoke to both myself and my partner and explained everything that he proposed to do in simple terms that we both understood. He gave us all the information we required and answered our concerns.

I cannot be in better hands and now feel at ease with the surgery I have to undergo.

Dear Exnursepat

Thank you for using Patient Opinion to tell your story about the great care you received at the Outpatients at University Hospital Crosshouse and more specifically under the care of Dr Agur.

I will be passing on your posting to Dr Agur, whom I know will be delighted to receive it and will be really encouraged as well. In addition, I will also send it to our Health Care Manager who covers Urology / Gynaecology.

I wish you well for your surgery that is due.

Kind regards

I cannot remember her name. She was petite with dark hair. She told me she had relatives in the Shetlands where my son is working. My procedure was at 1.30pm I hope this helps as she was very caring.
