on 22 feb I fell and broke my right wrist and cut my head. I was taken by ambulance to MK hospital A&E. I was seen and assessed almost immediately. head wound, sewn up, x-rays taken, wrist manipulation unfortunately didn't work. operation scheduled for 23 feb. I was found a bed in the SAU ward. the nursing staff were kind, caring, compassionate, cheerful, competent and efficient and incredibly busy. I would particularly like to mention two particular members of staff. One is a trainee nurse. I watched her caring for an elderly and infirm lady with a quiet gentleness and patience. no job was too menial for her. I am not sure what the other's role was - her presence cheered the ward. she had an air of competency and efficiency. she was incredibly kind and caring. I returned to have my plaster replaced on Friday 28 February. the service was quick and efficient. I understand that my operation has been a success. your hospital is incredibly busy trying to deal with an ever expanding MK and I am grateful for the care I received. one thing, though, your directions and external signage could be clearer
