"Burst bowel at Tickhill road hospital"

I had been out dancing with my friend. During that evening, I suffered a little pain in my stomach. I went to bed with a hot water bottle on my stomach. I didn't sleep much though, so next morning I rang my GP surgery to ask for a doctor to come and see me. The receptionist told me he wouldn't come out, so I asked to speak to him and he said that if I went to the surgery he would see me right away. I told him there was no way I could get there.

Meanwhile, my friend was worried about me and, as I was on my knees in pain at this point, rang for an ambulance. When I got to the hospital, I had an operation after it was discovered that my bowel had burst. It has been 8 months since this incident but I am starting to recover now.
