"The Consultant and his team. ..."

About: Warrington Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The Consultant and his team. They were very professional and treated me with respect.

What could be improved

The care from the nurses and care staff. I was not given the basic care that I would expect everyone to be entitled to. When I raised a important concern about an on going medical condition Iwas told I was being stupid by a nurse. I asked if I could have a wash one morning as I had had a fever over the past 3 days and hadnt had a wash. I felt dirty and embaressed but couldnt get out of bed to wash myself. I was given a bowl of water which was put out of my reach and was unable to reach any of my personal belongings. I also asked for my bed to be changed as the sheets were soiled. This took over 3 hours to be done.

Anything else?

The attitude of most of the nurses was unprofessional. Even the sister who did my pre-op assessment spoke to me as if I had no right to be there.
