What could be improved
I would like to make a point about what a disgrace weller wing is at south wing. There is a big sign by the car park celebrating the investment that has been made in the hospital this year, yet weller wing looks inside like a badly maintained victorian asylum. The main hospital wards are clean and warm, the maternity ward is state of the art and the primrose centre is remarkble, yet weller wing, a unit that should provide an immediate sense of security to some of the most vulnerable members of society is quite dreadful. The first impression one gets as you enter keats ward is damp stains on the wall and broken and missing ceiling tiles in the corridor. There are communal spaces such as a games room, but it is in reality a dumping room for broken furniture and what furniture that is available to patients is in poor condition. The nurses are immensely talented and compassionate but the facilities are a disgrace and sum up what the general attitude is to mental health problems, something that will affect 1 in 4 of the population.
It is a disgrace and it is time the hospital management addressed it
