I am TERRIFIED of needles and blood and all things hospital like. I came in for an operation this morning and was instantly greeted with calming doctors and nurses in the Surgical Triage Unit. The staff nurse that took my blood was so understanding of my fear and kept me calm. After being take to the day surgery unit (crying my eyes out in fear again) The sweetest ladies took the time to calm me down again and reassure me that I was worrying for nothing. Needles to say, when I was lay on the bed with my 3 surgeons I freaked out like a crazy lady, Jo (my lovely saviour) held my hand the entire time the needles came near me and when they were putting me to sleep. The 2 guys (sorry I didn't take your names) were so calming and reassuring and made me feel so safe! All the ladies in the F4 ward were so helpful and made sure I ate all my toast and had my cuppa tea :) I'm home resting now and feel a million times better. All my fears and nerves were a wasted worry. Thanks everyone that took care of me today, I appreciate you all so so much!
