I'd like to thank everyone at Macclesfield General for the recent treatment and care they gave me for skin cancer (BCC) on my nose. I was very impressed with the way the care was tailored to my individual needs - in the end my surgery was carried out in two stages to make sure all the cancer had been removed before I was repaired cosmetically. I was sent to an ENT plastics specialist at Leighton Hospital for the tricky 2nd stage. I am extremely grateful for the kindness and professional care I received throughout. During the pre-op assessment a problem was picked up on my ECG so an Echo was arranged for me very quickly and all this taken into account when planning my surgery. I'd like to say a particular thank you to a member of staff in ENT admissions - because of a number of unfortunate coincidences I was in danger of falling down an admin black hole between my 1st stage surgery at Macclesfield and the 2nd stage at Leighton and this person stepped in and sorted everything out for me - she took the stress away from me at a time I was feeling very vulnerable and unable to cope with it so I can't thank her enough. Because of my pre-op ECG and Echo results I've now been referred to a cardiologist and my experience of Macclesfield General so far gives me confidence in whatever care and treatment I need next.
