My father is leaving Rochester Ward today. Before he went into this hospital a couple of weeks ago I was dreading it due to the other reviews on this site, so I'm writing this as much to reassure future patients (and their loved ones) as to convey my and my family's thanks and appreciation to the wonderful team that looked after him. The care, attention and atmosphere on the ward was remarkable. There was a real community feel. No complaints, only praise. Many thanks. The only sad thing, in my opinion, was the lack of chaplaincy at this hospital. A beautiful chapel, but no Sunday services (or at least, no information about them). Visits from spiritual leaders are important in hospitals, not only for the patients, but for the staff and their families.
