My daughter was in A&E 7 hours, there was little or no interaction with the clinical staff. The department was not busy and the staff were sat chatting in the middle of the department. The nurses and doctors left my daughter on a trolley for hours laying on the blue mattress without a sheet. We hear so much about hospital infections, perhaps basic cleanliness training would be a good idea for these staff instead of them moaning for hours, which we had to listen too. For the hours I was in A&E, I cannot say I saw anyone over worked. There are no excuses, except idleness, that the staff in A&E shown no common decency and provide a sheet for my daughter. There actions shown dispassionate staff and feel their standard of care fell below acceptability.
