"Second time I've been referred"

Have been referred twice, both times I have been discharged due to the fact I can go to work, but I am still unable to do anything else. My close friend was also referred here beginning of last year and was told there was a waiting list to see a consultant. Both times I have said that I need more hlp, have been told that I would have an appointment to discuss this to find discharge papers sent to me in the post. Disgusting service, if that's what you call it.

Thank you for leaving your comment about the care you have received. I am sorry they you were not listened and I am sorry to see that you feel still need help. If you would like to discuss this in detail please contact the PALS service on 0800 073 1778 or 01249 468261. Or you can access PALS by email on awp.pals@nhs.net. You may also want to look at LIFT Services. The LIFT service is accessible directly and can offer 1-1 support and also groups & courses to help. People can also refer themselves directly or can access this service via their gp practice. Further information can be found on their website: http://lift.awp.nhs.uk/ Alternatively, you could speak to your GP and ask for re-referral to services. Again, I am sorry that your experience was not a positive one and we would be happy to speak to you about this further. Jo Davis. PALS Manager - AWP
