Dear Patient Relations Manager, my husband has recently had cause to visit various departments at both Wexham Park Hospital and St Marks's hospital Maidenhead. These are: a clinic; the cardiology department; the Pre-Op Assessment Department. The treatment we received was professional, caring and courteous. We had things explained to us properly and we are satisfied all has been done to promote his wellbeing when he goes for surgery this Monday 3rd March. Wexham Park Hospital has been criticised in the recent past for its standards of hygiene and so on, but each time we have visited there seems to be a buzz of activity in cleaning and decorating, making it feel fresh and hospitable, and the staff made us very welcome. The reception area in particular seems to have improved and there were obvious efforts not to keep people waiting too long. Sadly, after a visit in the day unit, we have to report one of the toilets facilities was wet and unpleasant on the floor. My husband failed to report it at the time, I am sure it would have been put right if he had. But it is in a state of nervous apprehension that one experiences these things. The rest of the treatment was wonderful. In particular we would like to thank the Dr who saw my husband one Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago at St Marks Hospital in the urology clinic. he gave us a very detailed consultation and we felt extremely fortunate to have seen him. We appreciate having our NHS and feel blessed to live in a country where there is an health service close at hand. Thank you very much. Yours sincerely
"thank you"
